Kate Malone had dungarees made out of my ‘Leaves’ fabric

Spotted on Instagram!

Kate Malone OBE, a ceramic artist and original judge (along with Keith Jones) of BBC2’s The Great Pottery Throwdown, saw my fabric at 2017’s Top Drawer exhibition. She was immediately drawn to the Leaves fabric, and showed interest in buying some of the fabric to make dungarees with. We talked about the suitability of my thick, not very comfy against the skin, not very drapey interiors fabric for a garment, but Kate was pretty convinced, unlike myself, that it would work! She took a sample to her tailors where it was washed a few times to soften up the fabric, and the thumbs up was given to go ahead with the dungarees.

So that was then, this is now……I have seen Kate wearing the garment a few times on social media, but when this popped up last week I was over the moon. It is such a gorgeous photo, and it shows that not only are the dungarees still going strong, but Kate obviously is still getting enjoyment out of them.

Anyone else fancy making a pair?! There’s lots of designs to choose from!
