Little Flowers Embroidery Kit with green background
This kit uses one of my textile designs, ‘Little Flowers’, as the base fabric for the embroidery. Using the printed flower shapes as a guide as to where to stitch, these shapes are filled up with colour and texture to create this pleasing embroidery…. and there’s no need to keep within the hoop with the stitching (as shown here); the hoop can be repositioned and the embroidery can continue over the full area of the fabric. It’s a good kit to have fun with!

55% linen / 45% cotton, 288gsm, digitally printed in the UK
Design
As the fabric is one which I sell by the metre, and because it has a fairly large repeat, each square of fabric contained in the kit is slightly different. (but also very similar!) Therefore the pattern sheet included is not an exact representation of the flower pattern on your fabric but an indication of how the flowers are stitched, and a suggestion of colour, so you can get creative with the design and translate the ideas on to your own piece of flowery fabric within your kit.
Stitches
This kit uses 3 embroidery stiches: satin stitch, back stitch and French knots.
The stitches are made with 2 stands of the embroidery thread. The thread comes in lengths that are made up of 6 strands, therefore you need to divide the thread up into 3 lots of 2 strands. They divide easily :)
